The nebula, which shines at magnitude +6.8, is illuminated by a magnitude +7.4 star designated HD 200775 in its center.&nbsp;The Iris Nebula lies 1,300&nbsp;light-years from earth and is six light-years across.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is my second attempt at shooting this deep sky object. My first attempt only used about 534 10-second exposures captured in one evening. This time, I captured over 2080 10-second exposures over 5 evenings.
